Class Descriptions


  Boxing Classes
Level 1 - Beginner

Adult
This adult boxer’s workout will include skipping, shadowboxing, heavy and speed bag exercises, and other exercises pugilist boxers use in their training. This workout is great for first time boxers, beginners and people with limited time in the ring. This class does not involve body contact, is set in a fun atmosphere, and will definitely challenge your fitness, balance, coordination, and conditioning.



Youth
This workout, for teens 13 - 17 years of age, provides a fun, friendly and structured environment that offers great physical conditioning. Learn the basics of boxing: boxer's stance, jab, cross, and footwork. Workout sessions include skipping, shadowboxing, heavy and speedbag exercises, and other circuit training drills. This class does not involve any physical sparring (contact) and requires no prior boxing experience to participate.



Level 2 - Advanced

Adult
This adult boxing workout takes it up a couple of notches from the Level 1 class. Skills that are featured in this class include advanced footwork, head movement, punches, and defensive techniques. Challenging boxing exercises and drills will be used to push your conditioning and abilities to the next level!

Prerequisite: Previous boxing experience or completion of Boxing Level 1

The sessions are themed and planned accordingly, to maximize Cardiovascular Fitness, Muscular Strength, Agility, Power, Balance, Co-ordination, and Flexibility.

  Athletic Circuit Classes

I create a circuit filled with intense, innovative exercises. Every circuit is different, and will challenge you optimally! 75 minutes in length.

*Jeremy is a Certified Athletic Therapist, and has expertise in modifying exercises in cases where the exercise is not appropriate for all.
  Recommended Equipment

The following equipment is recommended for all boxing classes:
  • Workout clothes
  • Running shoes
  • Handwraps *
* All Boxing class participants require handwraps, that can be purchased for $12 from Jeremy, or from your local sports outfitter.
